What looks to be a war film with espionage and double dealings turns quickly into a real thinking film. It is based upon real life events although a lot of attention has been placed in the main guys imagination although that is a major plus point.
We start by meeting him as he starts at university, he obviously has a brilliant mind seeing everything in terms of numbers and letters. Soon he meets a girl and they fall in love. When his secret government work is questioned they reveal a lot more about the guy we thought we knew well enough already and it starts to get very complicated. This is a brilliant piece of art, I don’t normally appreciate anything that wins loads of awards but this one I really did enjoy. It is not an action film but that’s absolutely fine because it really doesn’t need it.
