One of the year's most anticipated movies, the sequel to the 1999 film version of Marvel Comic "X-Men", will leave you in awe. Wolverine, Storm, Rogue (looking better than ever), Cyclops, Dr Gene Gray and Professor X (played ably again by Patrick Stewart) return, but are forced to work side by side with the evil Magneto (also well known as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings and Count Dooku in Star Wars: Episode II) and Mysteek the shape shifter. Joined this time by Night Crawler (a teleporter), Rogue's boyfriend with ice powers (who has yet to be given a nickname but will almost certainly be known as 'Ice Man'), Pyro (who has power over fire) and a woman who has Adamantium claws that come out of her fingers.
Another senior politician intends on introducing the mutant registration act following a mutant attack on the president, an attack that even the confined Magneto knows nothing about. The way in which Magneto escapes is pure genius and you will never guess how he does it in a million years. The special effects of the film are brilliant including more exploding police cars an exploding dam and a mid air fight against some US jets using tornados.
Upsettingly at least one of the good guys is lost but I'm not about to say which because that would be mean. Definitely one to watch and the third installment should be good too especially if poker playing mutant Gambit is in it!
