Legally Blonde was a major success a few years ago starring Reese Wetherspoon as the ditsy Elle Woods, a girl so obsessed with her first love that she would do anything to get him back. Only to discover that he was something of a twit and that she actually has a knack for being a lawyer ...

In the aptly named sequel Elle is preparing for her wedding and realises that she doesn't know where her best friend's mother lives. So she hires a Private Investigator to find her dog's mother only to find she belongs to an animal research company. When the refuse to sell her the dog and her employers fire her because her ethics differ from their own she embarks upon a crusade to change the law ...

In possibly the pinkest movie ever made there is no real surprise when Elle uses her hair care expertise to foil her nemesis. Though, the film does have it's moments it is a poor follow up to what was a great film. In the film every woman is either a nasty dictator or a ditsy blonde in disguise. It has moments of realism but these are overcome very quickly with strange twists which feel out of place. Perhaps that is the point, though.

With some odd plot points, the wiser and slightly more mature Elle we saw a glimpse of at the end of the first movie is long gone replaced with Cher from clueless. If you want to see a silly film, then see this one but if you liked the first then maybe you should rethink seeing this one.
