Simon Pegg (most famous for Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) stars alongside Lord of the Rings actor Andy Serkis in this dark comedy about a pair of grave robbers.

With corpses being taken elsewhere, a scientist who is keen to map the full human body is desperate for cadavers.

At the same time Burke and Hare are desperate for money, so when one of their tennants dies, they see an opportunity to make a quick buck by selling him to the university.

But with the graveyards being patrolled day and night, there seems to be just one solution - kill them first. So that's exactly what they did.

Now. This might seem like an unusual idea for a comedy especially since it is actually based on true events, but with Pegg and Serkis in the lead, it was meant for success.

Although this is certainly not his best film, it is certainly one worth a watch. So if you see it going cheap, or are wondering what to add to your LoveFilm list, why not give it a try?
