The creators of Wallace and Gromit, Flushed Away and Chicken Run have done it again with this festive comedy which will, I'm sure, become one of the nations favourite Christmas films.
Arthur works in the post office at the North Pole answering some of the more common objections to there not being a Father Christmas, like how does he visit every house in one night without vapourising?
Well, as it turns out Father Christmas, with a team of highly trained elves can deliver presents to a whole city at a time in their new and uber powerful sleigh (which is basically a space ship). Seriously, this part is hilarious and so very clever!
The main story though is of Arthur, the son of the current Santa Claus, a hereditary title, who is seen as the geeky and awkward member of the family. Unlike his brother who is to be the new Santa, because he runs things with military precision.
One Christmas though, after completing the round trip, Arthur notices that one present out of the billions, has not been delivered and despite everything wants to make sure that this young girl gets her gift.
So he sets out with his grandfather (the old old Santa), a plucky elf and the old sleigh to deliver the present - but all does not run smoothly as you would expect.
As I said initially, this instantly became on of my all time Christmas films, so everyone must see it. It is a true classic. Well done Aardman!
