Life is good at the US army training base in Los Angeles, that is until an expected meteor shower unexpectedly changes course and makes impact along the coastlines of the world\'s major cities.

Suddenly, what was a quiet day quite literally, on the beach becomes the scene of devestation as an invading and very hostile alien army comes ashore to wipe out the local population.

We follow an army unit, sent in to rescue civillians trapped in a local police station which is to be targetted for a nuclear warhead strike in the coming hours.

Will they get out, and if they do, will the human race survive? At times, you certainly begin to doubt that they will as the space invaders quickly and easily take out the army.

If you like films like Black Hawk Down, Independence Day or even Avatar then you\'ll probably love this. It\'s a gritty and real feeling sci-fi adventure and doesn\'t fall into a lot of the cliches that these films often fall in.

It\'ll never win any awards for originality, script or plot, but it\'s a pretty good film and one I\'d happily watch again and again.
