Gru is not a nice man. In fact, his aim is to be the worlds most notorious villain. Unfortunately though, he's a small fry and he can't even get a loan from the bank of bad to fund his next evil scheme.
What's worse is that there is a new baddie on the scene, a baddie who has stolen an Egyptian pyramid, a move which dents poor Gru's self esteem.
So he sets out on his new plan - steal the moon, but first he'll need to steal the shrinking ray from his arch nemesis. The only way in is by using three small girls who can sell cookie robots.
To do so he has to adopt them and as he'll find out, children are not as easy to control as his hoardes of minions.
The minions are, by far, the best thing about this movie. They are very similar to Rabbids in many respects and Gru clearly doesn't care anything about them - using them regularly for experiments. They aren't evil, but they will do anything they are told.
This was a very nice film and one which kept us laughing throughout. This is almost certainly going to be one we get on DVD and if you have kids, they will love it.
