In ancient Persia the king decides to adopt one of the street children. Sixteen years or so later he has become a powerful prince. He is given the same authority as his adopted brothers, but as they battle to get the upperhand and hopefully the throne, dark forces aim to use a mystical dagger to change the course of history - a plan that would actually cause the end of the universe as we know it.

Based on a computer game, this film is similar in style to the original Pirates of the Carribbean in that it has light hearted action with a hint of magic. The storyline is a tad predictable, but its got enough twists to keep it interesting.

This is a good film, not quite up to some of this year's other offerings but an good fun family film, none the less.
