All the major religions have an idea about the end of the world, but in 2012 when science finally catches up, if only a tad too late.
The Earth's crust has become unstable and bit by bit the surface of the planet is falling into the sea. Just one man, a rather crazy reporter knows whats going on, so when a father (John Cusack) accidentally hears his rather crazy message he doesnt want to believe him, that is until mini quakes start rocking the cities.
Soon they are racing against time to become airborne as city by city (or famous landmark by famous landmark) falls into the city never to be seen again.
If you liked films like The Day After Tomorrow then you know what kinds of destruction this film has to offer. Unfortunately, this film doesn't have an adequate plot to hold the thing together. The special effects and destructive nature of the film will make action fans happy and is good to see on a big screen (as I did at the IMAX in Time Square in New York) but its really nothing very special and is likely to go down as one of the most overhyped films on the 21st century.
