Exploring has always been his dream, so when he meets a girl with the same dream, they hit it off. Years later, he finds himself old and alone in their house, with their lifelong dream still unfulfilled. With the property developers just waiting for an excuse to evict him from his home, he finally decides to do it. So after inflating a ridiculous amount of helium balloons and attaching them to his house, he escapes with his house into the sky towards South America.
Unfortunately, his plans are skuppered when a nice but persistant boy scout manages to stow away aboard his house. Eventually landing just a few days walk from his dream location, they decide to drag the house which is still floating above them to the top of the falls.
Once again, though, with the arrival of a few unexpected visitors, it seems his simple plan of getting the house accross the falls is destined to fail - and meeting his childhood hero doesn't go quite as he'd hoped.
I've tried to describe the film as best I can without spoiling it. This film is unexpectedly emotional at times, whilst also being really funny and full of adventure.
My favourite, and the most funny scene, is the one where the lead enemy dog first talks with the scrambled and high pitched voice. You'll have to take my word for it, unless you see it for yourself, which I highly recommend.
Despite the price, I still believe it is worth seeing this one in 3D, but remember to take your 3D glasses with you to avoid getting charged for a new pair.
