Bolt is a dog. He was adopted by Penny when he was just a puppy and now he's a super-dog. He can leap further than he should be able to, he can fire energy from his eyes and his bark destroys all the enemies effortlessly ... well, thats what he's led to believe anyway.

He is the star of a TV series and to keep it real he's kept out of the loop, but when the TV execs need a bit less predictability and Penny is captured as an episode finale. He sees his chance to escape and accidentally finds himself sealed in a box headed for New York.

Alone and suddenly powerless he forces an agent of the green eyed man (a cat named mittens) to show him where Penny is being held. On their long journey home they meet a hamster called Rhino who just so happens to be a big fan.

The film is really funny and the characters are believable (well, as believable as talking animals can be.) Disney Pixar have braught out a very fun family film - not unlike Toy Story in some respects in that the main character believe's he's something he isn't. The action scenes are akin to The Incredibles and the storyline as fun as Finding Nemo.

If you're gonna watch an animated film in the cinema this February. This should be the one.
