Jim Carey (Bruce Almighty,The Truman Show) is in a rut. He doesn't want to do or try anything. He makes excuses to get out of meeting with his mates and even his best friends are about ready to give up on him.

One day he meets an old friend who tells him about a self help group - a group called Yes-man. Against his nature, he agrees to go. He stands out in the crowd of people because he dares to say no. So the speaker homes in on him and he reluctantly agrees to start saying "Yes" to everything.

Amazingly saying "Yes" to everything, even if initially detrimental always seems to come back around for good. He meets biker chick Zooey Deschaniel (Elf,Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) while filling up his car after giving a homeless man a lift home and allowing him to use his phone and his new impulsive attitude means that they keep running into each other.

Everything in his life starts to get better, even when he says Yes to the silliest things (which is dangerous when you work granting business loans).

This is a good film, funny and thought provoking at the same time. It really did challenge me to take a few more risks and to say yes more often. The film's message is about saying yes to life - but it does also show the consequences of saying yes to everything.

The gorgeous Zooey Deschaniel is her usual character but then that's a good character, so... And Mr Carey is his usual funny self. I'd seriously consider buying this one.
