Will Smith stars in the film version of Isaac Assimov's classic Sci-Fi novel as Detective Spooner, an old fashioned cop living in the year 2035. When the creator of the world's robots is found dead, having leapt from his office window, Spooner smells a rat. Something just doesn't fit and when Sunny, a unique prototype of the next generation of robots is found in the crime scene it just all clicks together. Or does it?
The laws of robotics are in place to stop robots from killing humans and this means that he could not have done it, surely. Things are starting to get wierd for Spooner when he is attacked by more robots malfunctioning but can it be as simple as it seems?
You may think that I have given away too much of the story but believe me, there is far more to it than that and everything I suspected when I walked in was wrong. I did guess the eventual cause but i began to doubt that later on as things continued to get complicated. This film is not purely action, although there is a lot of it, since it will keep you guessing all the way through. A superb performance by Smith in the lead role, tons of special effects and at no point did I ever think that the CG was obvious. A top notch Sci Fi movie. Go see it!
