Ricky Jervais (Stardust,The Office) is not a very likeable person and not just because he's a dentist. He takes no interest in other people's lives, preferring to keep himself to himself and avoiding all unneccessary contact.

Then one day, after dying in surgery for a little under seven minutes, he starts getting some unwanted attention - from the dead. He can suddenly both see and hear them which excites them because they can finally get their unfinished business done.

One of these ghosts, is trying to stop his wife getting together with another guy, so he tries to get the main guy to get between them - which may be an issue since she's one of the people he's already offended.

The film itself was good fun, though a lot of the funniest moments were in the trailor. Ricky Jervais is his usual obnoxious character which makes for some of his trademark uncomfortable moments. If you're looking for a laugh out loud comedy, then this probably won't quite do this for you but as romantic comedies go this one aint bad.

Tia Leoni makes a good female lead and Greg Kinnear was a good choice as the adulterous ghost character. There are some other noticeable extras, the kind that you recognise but wouldn't be able to name.

All in all this was a very watchable film with some good moments but it's not one I'd rush out to buy or anything.
