Ben Stiller (Zoolander), Jack Black (School of Rock), Robert 'Iron Man' Downey Jr and Steeve Coogan (Around the World in 80 days) star in this action comedy.

In order to get the struggling blockbuster, Tropic Thunder, back on track the director (Coogan) agrees to let the movie stars experience some real outdoor warfare and simply film the results - but soon all goes to pot. After losing the director in what they believe is a very convincing special effect they trek through the jungle following what they remember of the storyline only to accidentally wind up in a real battle.

Jack Black starts suffering from drug withdrawl; Downey Jr, who has had pigment augmentation to make him look black, can't get out of character - while Stiller is dogged by an earlier performance as a 'person with learning difficulties'.

This was a really funny film and the best bit, I believe is at the very start in what appear to be additional cinematic trailers. There are some really funny moments and some less funny moments but on the whole the film was really good fun.

A few people who saw the film mentioned the amount of swearing but, I must admit, that although I noticed some of it, it didn't ruin it - which is not something you hear me say very often. Still, it would make it unsuitable for younger viewers.

One to see.
