It's the year 2012 and following the collapse of the US economy (sounds familiar) the crime rate sky rockets. The US Government can't handle the criminal population and outsource the penal system to private contractors who run the prisons for profit by pitting the inmates against each other in a battle/race to the death - showing the carnage on pay-per-view television.

Following the death of the masked hero the warden recuits a new inmate to take his place by framing him for the murder of his wife, but when the star driver learns the truth will he co-operate?

This is definitely one for the boys: Fast cars, heavy weaponry and a few good looking bad girls thrown in for good measure. Plot-wise its a tad weak since I managed to summarise its entirity in a two paragraphs.

If you don't like action, gore or fast cars, then this film is not for you. As you would expect from a film set in a prison there is a fair amount of bad language too. Not one I'll rush out to buy or anything but if you're in the mood for carnage, this one's for you.
