Will Ferrell (Anchorman) and his sidekick from Talledega Nights are back in a tale about two unlikely stepbrothers who really didn't get along at all. They waged war against each other until they found a common enemy (Will's younger brother) and became best mates.
Unfortunately though, their kind of fun causes chaos for the rest of the newly formed family and drives their step-parents apart.
I must admit that I wasn't overly thrilled by this film. Considering how great some of Ferrell's other films have been, this one was sadly lacking - relying almost entirely on the repeated use of the F word throughout for comedy. Although there were clearly comic moments, the frequency of the profanity certainly ruined it for me.
If you liked films like American Pie, this film might be a bit too slapstick, and if you liked films like Hot Shots this film just isn't of the same calibre. I didn't enjoy this film.
