I had never heard of this one when I went to see it, though unless it had been advertised in trailers before other films, I was unlikely to have what with my current media blackout.

Kris Marshall (from TV's My Family) stars alongside Daisy Donovan and Alan Tudyk (Dodgeball and A Knight's Tale) in this typically British comedy set as the title suggests at a funeral.

The brothers meet at their Mum's house, where the coffin has been delivered, after several months or possibly even years apart. Soon joined by more distant family, all with stories of their own. Alan's character and his fiance pick up Kris, who is, unbeknown to them, a drug dealer. So when she feeds him what she thinks is a valium - he becomes hysterically unpredictable.

If that weren't enough, an unexpected guest gives the sons a shock that they are willing to cover up at all costs, but how far are they willing to go?

The is slow to start off with but tension and comedy builds as the film progresses. Not relying on the A-list of brit celebs is probably to this films credit, partially because it lowers the expectation, and allows it to be what it is.

Not hysterically funny, nor one that I'm likely to buy but as a way of passing the time this film had me laughing all the same.
