Jackie Chan, renowned for his martial arts movies, returns as a hapless detective in the third installment of the Rush Hour trilogy. Along with his even more hapless side-kick, an LA cop who seems more interested in women than in law enforcement and always puts his foot in it - they investigate a plot to assassinate a Chinese ambassador. The ambassador has found vital information about the leaders of the triad crime syndicate.
Their investigation takes Lee (Chan) and his partner to Paris, where after having a full cavity search at customs they search for elusive clues.
The film, like the others is full of rediculous situations and comic one-liners interspersed with martial arts fight scenes and tied together with a loose plotline. I thought that Chan's choreographed fight scenes were absolutely amazing and some of the jokes even made me chuckle - so I can't complain on that kind of level.
As ever though I must admit that the other character, whose name eludes me (but starred in sci-fi The Fifth Element along side Bruce Willis), annoyed me as he usually does. It was about what I expected when I baught the ticket but it certainly wasn't one of the best films I've seen this year.
If you enjoyed 1 and 2 you are in for more of the same. If you didn't enjoy them, there are better films you can spend your hard earned money on.
