In the first Ocean's Eleven film, Danny Ocean (played by that ER doctor - you know the one) needed to ruin a rich casino owner and gathered 10 of his friends and aquaintances (all of whom turned out to be other big movie stars) together to help him do it - and yet get away with it scot free.
In the second film, ingeniously titled Ocean's Twelve the casino owner guy was after them after having worked out that it was them and he expects them to pay him back - or else. They don't have the money after a few years of OTT living and need to steal something big to satisfy him and they do.
So here we are at number 3. The token female characters played by Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts are done away with, leaving just the guys. After one of the gang is swindled by a wealthy tycoon who is opening a big new casino in Las Vegas, they decide to ruin him in every way possible - but have to, you guessed it, get that casino owner from 11 and 12 to help them.
It's not a very complicated story but unlike the second installment it didn't keep some characters at the forefront for no reason. The twists weren't over the top and at least they were doing it all out of friendship and not just greed.
It's definitely one for the ladies, due to the number of male Hollywood players, but if you like stories of revenge and thievery then this may be your cuppa tea. It's not all that twisty, but as films go, it wasn't all that bad.
I'd recommend it.
