John McClane has a habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was in the building when terrorists decided to rob Nakatomi Plaza - but they soon regretted it. When they took over the airport, guess who was there picking up his wife. When New York was under seige, guess who their vengeance was against!

This time he is ordered to pick up a hacker and take him to DC, but soon enough he's being shot at and bombed as the terrorists attack the very core of US life - the computers. When everything is run by computers, if you rule them, you're unstoppable - unless John McClane doesn't like you.

You come to expect something from a Die Hard movie. Violence obviously tops the list and this one didn't disappoint with massive stunts that see John (Bruce Willis) take out not just a helicopter using a police car, not just thrusting an SUV down a lift shaft, but taking out a fighter jet with a lory and a bridge.

I must admit also, that the plot was top notch. OTT obviously but makes you think - and hopefully makes the government think just how susceptable they could be if they don't secure their computers. It was kinda like Enemy of the State at times, and very much like a film version of 24 at others. Minus the realtime obviously.

You have to wonder who would win in a fight - Jack Bauer or John McClane? And we all agree that they'd probably wipe out a whole army of Terminators with minimal resistance if they worked together.

So, in short, this was rediculously OTT but I loved it.

PS. For some reason this film is called: Live Free or Die Hard in the States.
