Stephan moves home because his Mum has promised him a job designing for a calendar company in France. It turns out that the job is less about design and more about copying and sticking logos on to calendars.

You could say that Stephan is living in a Dreamworld and often has trouble separating dreams from reality. When he meets his nextdoor neighbour for the first time he decides that he fancies her friend, only to later change his mind. Love, it seems, isnt an easy thing to get your head around.

The film flicks back and forth from his dreams and his conciousness. Sometimes he does things in his sleep which gets him into trouble with the girl, Stephanie, he blatantly fancies.

All the people in his life play parts in his dreams, some in ways he would never have envisaged conciously and it can, at times, be very funny.

But for me it was slightly too trippy, slightly too mixed up and I got confused as to what the storyline was. There were moments of full frontal nudity of both genders - which were needless for the most part. The jumping back and forth between different languages (and thus usage of subtitles) also added to the confusion.

Jon and Duncan liked this film, possibly being able to appreciate it on a different level than I could. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie, because it wasn't - it just wasn't one that I could get on board with. If you liked Eternal Sunshine or Being John Malcovich then this one is for you, otherwise go see Hot Fuzz.
