Harold Crick (Will Ferrell, Anchorman) is a tax man. He lives his life through a regular routine, counting everything from his steps to his brushstrokes. One day he hears a strange voice, narrating his every move.
Nobody else can hear her, which leads people to the natural conclusion that he is schizophrenic. So he enlists the help of an English professor to help him work out what kind of story he is in.
Then she narrates some pretty bad news - he's gonna die. It freaks him out, rather understandably.
It was a very funny concept - that's why I had to give it a viewing. Although it was funny, it wasn't anywhere near as funny as the trailor made it look. What comedy there was, was not the kind of laugh out loud comedy that I had hoped for.
The story was sweet enough, but although some of the fantasy moments were action packed, the rest was quite slow paced. It could have been far better but I'm still glad I saw it.
If you enjoyed "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" you might enjoy this more than I did.
