Milla Jovich (Resident Evil) is a haemophage, this films fancy way of saying that she's a vampire. It's a vampire movie, stripped bare of any religious underlying metaphors and with us siding with them for a change.

We are some time in the future, when technology has developed to enable micro black hole technology and trendy looking effects with peoples outfits. Basically allowing you to change the colour of your clothing and hair to match your surroundings.

The authorities are fighting a war against this disease (ie vampirism) and have developed an ultimate weapon, but all is not as simple as it sounds. In fact, no, its down right confusing from start to finish. This movie is from the same creator as Equilibrium and its pretty evident. The acting performances from the leads were more than disappointing, the plot was difficult to follow at the best of times.

This wasn't our first choice of movie, and is easily the worst film I've seen in a long while. The action is pointless and often as drawn out as some of the scenes in the latter Matrix films. The special effects are over the top and the lighting throughout is bizarre. Honestly - what were they thinking. There are also some oddly placed Christian symbols, a cross shaped building and such. Not sure if they were trying to do something with that, but whatever it was - it didn't work.
