Ewan (Obi-wan) McGregor and Scarlet Johanson star in this action packed sci fi movie. When I went to see the film I was expecting a film with little or no plot, where the charictarisation was tacked on and action sequences were pinned together loosely with a thin strand of plot

The plot, to which the first hour or so is dedicated with little or no action, keeps you wondering "I know this Island can't be real", but to what extent. When we start we are told that there is only one uninfected island in the world following some kind of global catastrophe.

The inhabitants of the colony, will be selected to go to The Island when they win a random lottery draw. All is not as it seems. They are clones, grown for replacement parts or to carry the donor's children.

Lincoln Delta Seven and his best friend are about to learn the gruesome truth and flee for their lives.

This was a good film. Some of the action seemed tacked on but was held on by more than a few strands of plot. The product placement was, at times, less than subtle. The storyline will be welcomed by 'pro-life' campaigners I'm sure. One to watch, possibly even one to buy!
