Aladdin is a street rat. He spends his days stealing food so that he can live and avoiding the city guards with his faithful friend Abu, who just happens to be a monkey. He only steals so that he can eat and truly is a diamond in the rough.

Princess Jasmine is being forced to marry before her next birthday. The major problem is that she has to marry a prince and all the princes she has met have treated her like a "prize to be won". She wants to get out, see the world, she has never even left the palace. One day, she does.

Jafar is the royal Bazaar and he has delusions of grandeur. He and his talking Parrot Iago search for a magic lamp hidden in a cave of wonders. The only one who can enter is 'the diamond in the rough'. Where might they find such a fellow?

Soon enough Jafar tricks Aladdin into finding the lamp but Aladdin ends up trapped in the cave with Abu, a magic carpet and the lamp. He is surprised and more than a little surprised when a wise craking Genie (voiced by Robin Williams) pops out offering to fulfill three wishes.

This is my favourite Disney film, with the best songs and jokes that Disney have ever come up with. If you haven't seen this one, then I suggest you do soon.
