I am not usually a fan of Owen Wilson since he tends to play the same character in every single film I have ever seen him in. However, in this film he played the part well and I did genuinely care what happened to his character.

Having said that, though, I cannot bring myself to give this film a good review. For one or two major reasons. The first was the male rape scene played purely for comic effect. This scene was well past 'the line' and in my opinion spoiled the remainder of the film.

If the scene had been of a woman being raped (even if it was by her boyfriend) the film would never have made it past the censors, How come there is such a double standard here?

What baffled me further was that when he told his friend about the incident, including the word "rape", the audience was in hysterics.

Aside for this the film is your standard "American Pie" style film. In other words, plenty of toilet humour, sexual innuendo and swearing. This wasn't what I expected when I went to see the film. I expected a silly film, what I saw was a bad film.
