It’s a film about a terrorist group which attacks Baltimore in the USA with a nuke. Unlike a lot of films, it does not end with the main guy (in this case Ben Affleck) defusing a nuclear bomb with just seconds to spare.

In fact the bomb goes off and millions die. Both Affleck and the president are caught in the blast but both survive, however other key characters are killed in the blast and then America reluctantly prepares to strike back at the obvious target - Russia.

It’s up to Affleck to save the world by avoiding a 2nd nuclear strike which would park a nuclear free for all. It is mixed in with a little romance, a bit of spy work and a football game.

This is a well constructed film where you honestly aren’t certain what the outcome will be. A film which certainly shows the new wave of post September 11th concepts which must be on the way. Go see this, it’s good.
