Chris Rock stars as a struggling comedian in this remake of the film “Heaven can wait”. The story is simple: An over eager angel removes him from his body a second before he is hit by a truck. When he reaches heaven, the gatekeepers realise there has been a massive error. He wouldn’t have died in the crash, he would have lived on until he was around 80.

Since his body is dead and buried he will have to be reincarnated as somebody else. The only body available is that of a rich white man, who had been poisoned by his wife. He shocks them all when he awakes and reveals that he knows they tried to kill him but that’s okay. The rest of the tale is about his attempts to make it as a comedian and rekindle love with a girl he had just started to date.

It is a nice story but it really isn’t anything that special. If you are bored and want a laugh or you want to watch something with the kids, this is what you want.
