Do I really even need to sing its praises? Not really, when you see the film you will decide for yourselves. It is based 10 years after the Phantom Menace ended. Anakin has grown into a man and Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman) is now senator Amidala and looking better than ever. Obi Wan (Ewan McGregor) is finding it hard to keep up with his young apprentice. The Sith are secretly plotting their next move and the Jedi have no idea that things are about to get messy.

In this film we see Yoda kick some butt in his new computer generated incarnation. JarJar (who thankfully isn’t in it much) is now acting as deputy senator and C3PO is more like his normal self but punning like Bond. The special effects are the best that I’ve seen but the love interest, although important to the overall storyline, is a tad annoying in places. However there are lots of gunfights, flier chases and big Jedi battles which more than make up for this.

This is a film that you have to see for yourself to believe. I urge you all to go and see it. If you are a fan of the original trilogy you will love this one. If you didn’t like The Phantom Menace then you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I’m definitely going to go and see it again.
