The six part saga is complete and the Sith have revealed themselves in spectacular style. There is every likelihood that throughout the rest of this review I will unwittingly give away crucial plot points that a fan may not want to know before seeing the film. You have been warned.
So Anakin Skywalker turned out to be Darth Vader, Palpetine was the evil Sith Lord and Padme became pregnant huh! wow! Twins! Yeah, okay we already knew that didn't we. However, there are new secrets to be revealed in this film and knowing that something has to happen is not the same as seeing it.

Unlike Episodes 1 and 2, and even the original trilogy, the fighting starts right away. Palpetine has been kidknapped by Dooku and two Jedi have been chosen to rescue him. Though without that trusty droid R2D2, who himself does some pretty cool fighting, they'd have been destroyed.

The action is full on and there is so much of it that it makes episodes 2, 4, 5 and 6 look like nasty arguments with lots of pushing and shoving. Light sabre battles are common place, with some lasting a long time. The best battles included those between Obi Wan and General Grievous, Mace Windu and the Emperor, Yoda and the Emperor and of course Vader vs Obi Wan.
Anakin's fall from grace is heightened following his virtuous battles against Dooku, but even in such moments of vitory it is clear where his allegiance lies. Not with the Jedi where it should but with the Senate and its leader.

Some emotional scenes are present in this film, including Vader's assault on the Jedi Temple in which the younglings approach him as a friend. The final Anekin and Padme scene shows how corrupt and full of rage Vader has become despite her being the reason for his descent to the Dark Side.
A fitting end to the franchise and one you want to see for yourselves in the cinema. How does Lucas manage to produce films of this calibre? A jedi mind trick me thinks...
