Resident Evil was a string of highly popular computer games which involved zombie slaying. A few years back the first movie adaptation 'Resident Evil', burst onto our screens starring Milla Jovich. Although her character was not one from the game she was the obvious main character in that movie. Eventually she and just one other guy escape from the underground research lab, aka The Hive. He had been scratched by a monster and was mutating, she was seemingly okay.

Unlike in some movie sequels, this one was obviously planned. The first film ended with the local town in devastation. This film goes back a little to explain why, some idiot opened the gates. This film introduces some of the game's actual heroes as well as deepening the storyline for Alice, the main character. The other escapee has mutated into a killing machine which the scientists have been able to control to some extent but will they be able to stop him? Will they get out of Raccoon City before the nuke is detonated? If you care, you'll need to watch it.

This one focusses far less on the zombies, although there are plenty of them, they are taken for granted at many points. Some of the fight scenes are over the top and its definitely not one for the kids. If you like Zombie flicks, you wont be disappointed.
