The actors who star in this movie are considered to be the current A-list in American Comedies. With stars like Will Ferrell, Jack Black and Christina Applegate you can understand why.

Anchorman is set in the 1970s when the news was read only by men. When a female employee (Applegate) is taken on and ultimately makes it as co-anchor, Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) feels intimidated. He and his co-presenters set about trying to make life hard for her.

This film leaves reality often and this is by and large a good thing. The battle of the anchors is probably one of the best, though far fetched scenes. This is second only to Jack Black's cameo where he kicks an obviously fake dog off a bridge.

A bit of sexual innuendo but then considering its rated 15, I was expecting far worse to be honest. A good, laugh out loud comedy. I'd reccommend this one.
